Today we learn... "Present Simple".

Hi my dear readers! I start the section "Today we learn...". This time, I'm going to teach you the Present Simple. I'll talk about the uses of the tense, the structure, and the time expressions that accompany this tense. So, this lesson is about grammar (remember the previous post, where I told you about the skills that we must learn fine). 

Hola mis queridos lectores! Comienzo la sección  "Hoy aprendemos...". Esta vez, voy a enseñaros el Presente Simple. Hablaré sobre los usos del tiempo verbal, la estructura y las expresiones temporales que acompañan al tiempo verbal. Así que, esta lección es sobre gramática (recordad el post anterior donde os hablaba sobre destrezas que debemos aprender bien).

• PRESENT SIMPLE USES.

1. Routines and habitual actions. (this also include actions that are only temporal routines, or during a period).

1. Example: I go swimming every day.

2. General truths, preferences.  

1. Example: The winter is cold.

3. Feelings.                                     

1. Example: I like rock music.

• PRESENT SIMPLE STRUCTURE.

1. Affirmative: Subject + verb in infinitive (3rd person of singular with s/es) + ...
2. Negative: Subject + auxiliary DON'T/ DOESN'T (3rd) + verb  in infinitive + ...
3. Interrogative: DO/DOES (3rd) + subject + verb in infinitive + ...

• PRESENT SIMPLE EXPRESSIONS.

The present simple has the "frequency adverbs" . Let's start to know them:

• The frequency adverbs express the times that the action is repeated. This expressions are very exclusive in use "1".

The Present Simple is very easy to use, we must remember the way to conjugate the 3rd person of singular, and the position of frequency adverbs (use 1).

El presente simple es muy fácil de usar, debemos recordar el modo de conjugar la tercera persona del singular, y la posición de los adverbios de frecuencia (Uso 1).
